Broadband Round Two Funding and US Census Strategies
A one day seminar is being held to prepare for the next round of broadband funding and census strategies. This national broadband initiative allows for broadband internet service to your community. Broadband is critical for the economic growth and development for Michigan.
Broadband is critical for the economic growth and stability of your community. Make sure your communities are positioned for the Second Round of American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (stimulus funding). Come to hear what other communities have done to develop broadband strategies and how you can build your own plan.
Census data is used to distribute federal funding to your community. Make sure your community is developing a strong census plan to assure accurate counts. The Census countdown has begun and it relies on your local communities for identifying hard to count populations. Learn how to develop your strategy for census activities.
