BS/BA degree in Public Administration (Accounting or closely related field) and minimum of three-five years successful experience in municipal management (ideally county municipal management)is required. Five years of public accounting desirable. Other related experience considered.MPA or MBA degree desirable but will consider closely related field. Demonstrated leadership experiences, strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication abilities and strong interest in public service also required. Deputy County Administrator will have experience/interest in human resources management and may ultimately be considered for Jackson County Administrator/Controller position.

Base annual salary: $79,464--$92,797 with customary fringe benefits.
